We are now recruiting for a Gatehouse Team Leader to join our Loss Prevention team at our Liverpool Distribution Centre.

You will be integral to the smooth day to day running of the Gatehouse. As the first point of contact for deliveries you will be responsible for leading your team of Operatives in booking in these deliveries and security checking and booking out vehicles. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and proactively works to ensure a safe and secure working environment for Warehouse and Transport colleagues by effectively controlling the barriers across our 3 gates and carrying out internal and external patrols. 

• £23,142 per annum
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern 
• Shift times of 05:30 - 17:30 / 06:00 - 18:00, working 12 hour day shifts 
• 5.6 weeks paid holiday per annum, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years’ service

• Barrier control at Gates 1, 2 and 3
• Carry out regular patrols and assign Operatives to patrol areas 
• Validate and update patrol records 
• Examine CCTV footage and incident reports 
• Monitor the fire alarm and sprinkler alarm panels and act when activated
• Ensure site safety during a site evacuation
• Undertake Yard Safety Marshal duties during busy periods ensuring the main road is clear
• At the end of the shift check all containers have been booked in, cross reference all maritime paperwork with the running sheet and AS400
• Respond to assistance requests from colleagues
• Assist third parties and emergency services under the guidance of the Loss Prevention Manager

• Experience of working as a Gatehouse Operative is essential
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and AS400 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task at short notice
• Ability to prioristise and organise workloads to ensure smooth flowing deliveries and avoid traffic build up on the main road 
• Understanding of distribution centre functions
