An exciting opportunity has become available for a Development Manager to join the New Homes Team on a 12 month contract/secondment. You will be supporting the design and delivery of a variety of partnership models, with land owners, local and combined authorities, house builders and contractors, investors and other stakeholders.

This role will require creative thinking, we are looking to challenge our relationships and the ways we do things. We will be looking for you to be an innovator, to be curious about advances in the way things are done, to embrace knowledge that could be applied to our sector, to keep up with what our competitors are doing and identify if this can be adapted to support the delivery of Bromford’s aims. All of this will need to be coupled with a strategic and commercial focus.

You will be:

  • Supporting the development of a range of partnership models, providing robust business cases for debate, consultation and approval for specific projects in line with the Bromford corporate objectives and targets set.
  • Supporting in the sourcing and securing of projects that meet the agreed proposals
  • Modelling scenario tests and scheme appraisals in line with Bromford practices, supporting the business planning team to model the impacts of proposals, undertake impact assessments and evaluate and extrapolate the data.
  • Building relationships with and supporting the team to build relationships with a range of partners for strategic relationships
  • Taking operational responsibility for a key contact management data base supporting the day to day relationship management of the new homes and investment key relationships
  • Building effective relationships based on trust and respect and be a great ambassador for Bromford
  • Developing and implementing a stakeholder communications strategy to create excellent relationships with important parts of the new place creation matrix stakeholders and keeping us all connected

You will need:

  • A proven track record of securing and delivering multiple new housing projects
  • Experience of leading or influencing a team to deliver a range of housing projects
  • Experience of delivering within a government funded or Homes England grant funded programme
  • Experience of financial appraisal tools, contract negotiations and RP Business models.
  • To be experienced in contract negotiations
  • A thorough knowledge of the development delivery process (including land, S106 and regen) including risk and financial appraisals (Pamwin)
