The Grazia Beauty Team works together to create unique and engaging content across print, GraziaDaily.co.uk and Grazia’s social media platforms.

The Focus of the Role:

Grazia is looking for an experienced beauty journalist to join its award-winning editorial team as Junior Beauty Editor. The role requires strong writing skills and a creative mind – the ideal candidate will be adept at pitching fresh ideas for print, digital and social media on a regular basis and able to generate the relevant content to a high standard and to deadline.

The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, have great organisational skills and a wealth of beauty PR, expert and industry contacts at their fingertips.

Main Responsibilities
  • Writing and pitching digital stories daily
  • Writing and pitching features for print regularly
  • Creating social and video content on a weekly basis
  • Heading up organisation of beauty awards – time tabling and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Attending morning conference when required
  • Administrative support when required and delegating where appropriate
  • Representing the Grazia beauty team at beauty launches, events and trips when required
  • Liaising with the art and pictures team to ideate and produce still life visual concepts for print features
  • Attending regular team meetings to discuss print content, digital content, and SEO and affiliates strategy
  • Interviewing celebrities/talent/experts when required
Person Specification
  • The ability to generate relevant and unique beauty content for Grazia Magazine, GraziaDaily.co.uk, and Grazia’s social media platforms
  • A creative mind and a long-held enthusiasm for beauty
  • Strong commercial knowledge of brands and the beauty industry
  • Strong writing skills as well as a keen sense of tone and eye for detail
  • Good knowledge of SEO
  • Experience of creating affiliate-led digital content
  • Experience of writing reactive digital beauty news stories in a fast-paced publishing environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to edit your own work and that of others
  • Strong PR and expert contacts
