We have an exciting opportunity within The Saga Travel Group as an Air Product Executive. Working in our Aviation Team, you will play a crucial role in securing flight allocation, maintaining cost control and providing support for internal and external suppliers.

Main Responsibilities
  • To give the Aviation Manager full support. 

  • To request, book and review all flight allocation space with designated airline partners across the programme. 

  • Monitor and chase for flight allocation confirmations. 

  • Manage flight allocation reviews, release and cancel unrequired stock in order to maintain relationships with airline partners. 

  • Action all amendments and schedule changes to contracted flights and advise relevant departments as necessary. 

  • Lead regular meetings with Commercial Revenue Managers to proactively flag committed, allocation and risk flight seats and look to increase stock levels based on demand. 

  • Working in conjunction with the Product team to create and supply Air brief for Production team to load.  

  • To take a proactive role in the resolution of all significant incidents and operational issues, communicating any necessary information to other relevant parties. 

  • Support the Duty office in resolving operational situations particularly out of standard working hours. 

  • Working in close conjunction with Aviation Operations team to support and assist with shared objectives. 

  • Accurately quote air itineraries utilising CRS and paper contracts, adhering to airline conditions and restrictions. 

  • Support the Contact Centre with any queries on air product and itinerary changes to maintain high customer service levels and responses are met within the department SLA. 

  • Develop a thorough knowledge and take full responsibility for the air components in order to make valued decisions regarding the product operation and the impact of any effect that an unforeseeable change may have on the running of the holiday.  

  • To take part in project work to ensure ongoing process improvements within the team. 

  • Utilise and support robotic functions.

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills including the ability to prioritise workload as needed. 

  • Ability to self-motivate and be flexible when needed. 

  • Excellent communications skills. 

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Passion for Travel.

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Teams. 

  • Conversant with GDS, preferably Amadeus.

  • Knowledge of the Travel business.
