About the role 

Are you the go-to person...the one who answers the questions, with the know of how to keep the facilities running like clockwork? At Sodexo our facilities management professionals are at the heart of what we do and we are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electrician) to support the operation and maintenance at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

As an electrician you will ensure the system is fully competent in the fault diagnosis, repair and testing of all electrical plant equipment. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance services both inside and outside of operating hours.

A few things about you

  • “We are looking for a Time served Electrician holding a City & Guilds/NVQ qualification, or equivalent and you must be qualified to 18th Edition IET Regulations”
  • Commercial and or healthcare experience is desirable
  • At least 1 year work experience as a fully qualified electrician

You must have experience of repairing plant and equipment, have the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose and repair using your technical knowledge on equipment.

As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do there will be procedures, site specific guidelines/ requirements and regulations to follow such so it is vital that you have a good understand of Health and Safety at Work regulation and previous experience adhering to set engineering standards. 

You must be a strong team player with great communication skills, who enjoys working as part of a team. You must be able to work unsupervised and be able to prioritise work tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure.
