Your role

As site Maintenance Manager you will report to our site Engineering Manager. You will lead a large team of Engineering Coordinators, Chargehands and Engineers and be responsible for all site related Maintenance activities, ensuring the appropriate co-ordination of resource with the ultimate aim of delivering against all planned preventative maintenance in addition to a suitable and timely response service towards any unplanned downtime.

As Maintenance Manager you will be an excellent communicator working alongside all departments. In this role you will be a site ambassador ensuring the engineering team is led effectively to carry out works to the highest standard, in a safe and timely manner and in line with budgets.

This role will allow the successful candidate to further develop their project management skills and develop important relationships internally and externally to deliver against our site goals.

What you’ll need

  • A relevant 3rd qualification in an engineering discipline or be qualified by experience in a similar engineering management role
  • Previous experience of managing Engineering teams
  • The ability to build, mentor, motivate and lead teams through periods of technological and cultural change
  • Have a detailed engineering knowledge of modern continuous, food production processes
  • Good working knowledge of associated disciplines including Project Management, Health and Safety and Food safety
  • Familiar with modern maintenance and manufacturing methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Robust and flexible approach
  • Advanced IT literacy
  • Operationally focused on delivering results
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
  • Financially competent and experienced in the preparation and monitoring of budgets desirable
