The Role

Quotient Sciences have a career opportunity available for an Equipment & Validation Supervisor at the site in Nottingham. You will join the Technical Operations department and contribute to the success of the business providing effective support to the Manufacturing Area (GMP) and Laboratory Areas (GLP). This is an exciting role allowing you to make your mark and progress your career within equipment & validation management.

Responsibilities include the supervision of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), servicing and calibrations, equipment procurement & validation within GMP and the Labs. The role will also involve the management of up to three technicians. You will be the central person for onboarding new equipment, managing the contractor database, change controls, validating the equipment once on site, and turning over to manufacturing.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

· Supervise for the GMP and Laboratory facilities

· Equipment procurement & validation

· Maximise value for money garnered from GMP and Lab contracting services

· Identify cost savings through consolidation of contractor services where applicable

· Ensure that all GMP and lab equipment is covered by a validation programme, PPM, and reactive maintenance and to ensure that any downtime is minimised

· Act as the first point of contact for staff to report faults / issues with equipment / facilities within GMP and the Labs. To organise remedial work as appropriate.

· Ensure all contractors involved with GMP and the Labs are appropriately supervised, and any work performed is aligned with relevant working practices

· Line supervision & management of 3 reports

The Candidate

The successful candidate should have considerable experience of facilities supervision within a pharmaceutical production environment. Previous, demonstrable track record of validation and cost-effective supervision of specialist subcontractor service and competence to perform maintenance when appropriate is preferred.

Other skills and experience required:

· Previous experience delivering cost effective management to introduce new equipment promptly

· Ability to work to strict and tight deadlines whilst juggling a range of tasks/issues simultaneously

· Confident working in a hazardous environment and ability to follow safety procedures

· Confidence to respond to client demands

· Good organisational skills, and the ability to manage different types of equipment.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Effective team player

This role may require you work outside of normal working hours as we respond to client needs.
