The Head of Service Management / Brands is responsible for the ongoing management of the brands / services that are owned by the food platform, ensuring appropriate marketing plans, promotional calendars and content creation is delivered that aligns to the commercial, client and consumer outcomes that Sodexo requires from these brands and services whilst using insight to inform the decision-process.

The role will lead a key element of the food transformation pillar, deployment of branded restaurants, as well as being a key member of the food transformation team.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Develop and maintain a brand/services strategy demonstrating how the portfolio of brands/services aligns to the regional objectives of Sodexo.
  • Support the Global Food Platform team in the development of global strategic plans for the brands/services

Brand and Service Management

  • Ensure are brands and services are fit for purpose and aligned to the UK&I business
  • Maintain the brands to a five-star standard, updating all internal documentation as a minimum annually
  • Ensure all brands/services have annual plans in place along with owners, that are aligned to the business needs and the architecture of the brands/services

Commercial Modelling

  • Ensure all content, both seasonal, annual and promotional is costed to meet briefs / brand and service targets for margin.
  • Working with the business, and Head of Retail to develop a pricing strategy for all brands / services

Marketing

  • Develop consumer facing marketing plans for brands / services including promotional campaigns and an annual calendar of events to drive sales.
  • Track ROI on marketing activity and feedback as to achievement of targets / results from brand and services marketing activity.
  • Alignment of marketing plans with the digital marketing manager to ensure an omni-channel experience

Coordination

  • Ensure the brand/service managers act as the custodians of their respective brands/services and manage the coordination of all activity relating to the brands/services to deliver the outcomes by the agreed dates from with the segments / food platform
  • Work with the Food Platform Director and team in delivering the wider food platform strategy
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to achieve the right outcomes at the right times
The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • An in-depth knowledge of marketing and delivering marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Proven experience in managing high street brands (food / coffee led) including the ownership, development and implementation of brand plans
  • An in-depth knowledge or product and menu development
  • Excellent people management and coaching skills
  • Clear communicator, both spoken and written with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize high volumes of work
  • Clear understanding of the role of food to Sodexo and a foodie at heart
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of organization and with different cultures

  • Clear understanding of food supply chains
  • Project management and delivery experience
  • Experience of delivering social value through brands
  • Experience in development of sustainability credentials for brands / services
