Are you curious and do you always ask why? Do you like to find meaning in data? If you’re excited by the possibilities of using data and intelligence to improve outcomes for children and families, we’d love to hear from you!

The Intelligence Performance and Engagement team supports all teams across Children & Families services.  The team brings together the voice of families, qualitative information and performance data to help all of our services celebrate their successes and identify areas we could do better.

Main Responsibilities

In this role you’ll be building new ways to get data to work for us. You’ll tailor analysis so that our teams in Children & families can identify trends in the data more easily and can continue to improve their service for the Staffordshire communities they serve. As well as helping to build these dashboards you’ll also support the business to understand the data by telling a story with the insights you uncover.

You’ll have a specific focus working with our large data sets that help us to identify families who have multiple support needs.

You will specifically help us to:

  • Undertake analysis and make recommendations about how we could better support families
  • Review how successfully our data is matched together
  • Improve the quality of the information we hold
  • Source and add new data to the warehouse, working with our ICT and commissioning teams

The work you’ll do in this role will have a direct impact on the children and families in our communities so it’s important work that can help our services to change lives.

The Ideal Candidate

As a Performance Analyst, you'll need to be:

  • Passionate about using data to improve outcomes for families and can share their enthusiasm with others
  • Curious - always asking 'Why?'
  • Loves Excel and similar tools, like Power BI

If you'd like a further discussion about the role, please contact either Craig Woods (01785 278206) or Kelly Stark (01785 276839).

We're happy to talk flexible working and we'll consider applications on a full or part time basis.  For internal candidates, we'll also consider secondment with prior approval of your line manager.
