To accelerate Sodexo’s Facilities Management Data transformation program with the objective to deliver world class business processes and supporting tools to the teams’ delivering services across our wide array of client sites we’re looking for an experienced Data Governance Business Analyst as part of the global team to lead and embed data governance tools and processes that enables us to source, manage, structure and use our data across the organisation, also having a real passion and appetite to improve business processes. This is a pivotal role that will see the Data Governance Business Analyst working across business, IT and data organization.

Data Governance Business Analyst will be a strong communicator and demonstrate a mastery of the Data Governance process to align data sources and metrics around common standards and create clear, actionable practice for sourcing, consumption, quality, and use to help achieve business objectives.

Navigating Sodexo’s matrix organisation on a global scale won’t come without its challenges and require building relationships with internal networks quickly, be organised and delivery focused and have a positive, flexible, and can-do attitude would be key for success of the role. Previous experience working on a global scale or within a facilities management function would be a huge advantage.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business process owners to review and rationalize existing business processes, designing and delivering new processes, and recommending technology solutions. Document current state and target state business processes.
  • Complete the business analysis to a high standard, including definition glossary terms, business concepts, workflow mapping and organisation mapping.
  • Mapping & documentation of data elements across systems (definitions, validations, lineage, and assessment of data controls), and identifying / appointing critical data, data owners and data stewards.
  • Development and deployment of global data policies and processes and their continued enforcement to include areas such as data sourcing, data sharing, data protection, workflow for data ingestion, data quality, master data and data life cycle management.
  • Lead, collaborate (with global ICT, global data office and business) & participate data projects & initiatives as per the organization / departmental data strategy e.g., Master data management, common data modelling, data dictionary & lineage, self-serve BI platform, data access management etc.
  • Support data owners & stewards with their responsibilities related to data quality and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the organisations key data assets.
  • Analyse large data sets and data models to deliver logical conclusions.
  • Work with solution architects to ensure the requirements are aligned to and can be accommodated by the solution architecture (system, data and business).
  • Contribute to the management of risks on the Program ensuring any possible risks are raised and documented.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and ensure agreed governance and reporting is followed
The Ideal Candidate

What’s essential:

  • Exceptional business data analysis skills to capture business process, document future state requirements and support the business transition to a new way of working.
  • Proven track record in operating large data governance programs. Knowledge of Cloud based big data frameworks such as data lake, relational, Graph and other no-SQL databases
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, working across teams and all levels of stakeholders and be able to work with virtual teams across multiple functions being sensitive to different cultures and ability to collaborate to build business glossary, define data definitions, including master data and master data management requirements etc.
  • Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles
  • Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms
  • Strong understanding of contemporary data / business intelligence technologies and approaches and the supporting enterprise-level data governance/management required
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cloud-based data transformation, and familiar with cloud and data management trends, including open-source projects, methodologies (connect and collect, hub and spoke, data fabrics, etc.) and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition, management and the semantic web.
  • Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization
  • Ability to produce detailed documentation – including mapping business processes and data elements
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience in Informatica suite of applications e.g MDM, EDC, Axon, IDQ etc.
  • Experience of creating data standards, data processes, and writing data policies
  • Hands-on operational management and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

What’s desired:

  • Previous experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban is not essential but is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of working with Maximo, MS Power platform, CRM tools and SAP finance data will be plus.
  • Experience of facilities management business processes.
  • French is a plus.
