To manage the supply of packaging and/or the removal of finished goods, ensuring the production lines do not stop by carryout this role in a safe and timely manner.  Responsible for the scanning and wrapping of all finished goods pallets from the factory to customer specifications using pallet wrapping machinery (some hand wrapping will also be required). Duties of this role include:

• Assisting the Team Leader/Clerk with embargoed stock
• Removal of any damaged pallets (preventing damaged pallets entering the factory)
• Controlling all pallets movements including supply to production areas and returns to suppliers
• Checking pallets for correct case count from packing slip to corner ticket number
• Using computerised hand held scanning gun ensuring finished goods pallets are scanned correctly
• Wrapping to customer specification
• Effective wrapping to minimise waiting
• Clean and maintain wrappers and labelling machines as required
• Carryout daily checks on all equipment in accordance with company and health and safety procedures
• Ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy in line with site Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Assist with the training of other/new staff
• Providing accurate and timely information to the department office

Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6pm-6am (after 6 weeks rotates to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for a further 6 weeks)

Essential

• Must have a PPT LICENSE A1
• Experience or knowledge of the correct and safe use of wrapping machinery
• Experience or knowledge of using a computerised hand held scanning gun
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including Safe Systems of Work and Practices

Preferred (but not essential)

• Knowledge of computer systems and AS400 
• Basic Food Safety Level 2 
• Health & Safety Level 2 
• Must have the ability to work in a busy environment
