** At Saga we’re radically flexible which means our colleagues have total autonomy over where they work – home, hybrid or hub. This role has a hybrid element which means our team come together when we need to collaborate.

Our people are everything to us. The way they deliver exceptional experiences every day for our customers, for their colleagues. The way they own what they do. Their 'Why's it like that?' curiosity. How they always think of others and work together to get things done. For us, for you, make do will never do. Good enough? Not even close. Come and do the best work of your life alongside lovely colleagues. Come to Saga.

And right now, we are looking for a highly organsied individual with the ability to grow and develop staff. Able to have difficult conversations, influence and lead others and really enjoy doing so.

The Managing Editor for Saga Media will be in charge of making sure all the content is where it’s supposed to be, at the right time, and to the requisite quality level.

The role requires someone dedicated equally to organisational excellent and copy quality – a key line of defence against letting substandard content appear on any of channels and making sure that everything we do is tracked to ensure the right things are being done at the right time, so we never fail our audience.

The Managing Editor of Saga Media is someone that needs to be fascinated by process – but not caught in its thrall. We’re looking for an adept user of AirTable (or similar workflow systems), but also willing to mould the tools to create a simple, intuitive system for our rapidly expanding team of writers and editors.

You’ll be in charge of creating and monitoring the processes that help our writers and content creators find the perfect thing to that will help, inspire and entertain our readers at any given point. Working closely with the Chief Content Officer, this role will challenge you to find creative solutions daily – but also making sure the trains run on time.

You’ll still find yourself liaising with PRs, undertaking some national and international travel, as well as writing articles when your expertise is called to the fore. If you’re someone that thrives on helping others while possessing a keen eye for quality and creating systems that really work, we want to hear from you.

Send us your CV and – most importantly – a great covering letter explaining why you’re the perfect fit for the job – we can’t wait to hear from the perfect candidate.
