As Product Development Manager you will lead customer and category Product Development (PD) activity to achieve Greencore’s great food and commercial targets, deliver right first time launches and act as the customer’s first point of contact. Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivery of category reviews and customer presentations for 12– 18-month development activity plans working closely with the Future Food Team, Insight and Category teams
• Apply food knowledge to market and category insight to ensure product development is aligned with Greencore and customer strategy balancing quality and financial measurements
• Responsible for approval of all development vs customer briefs and Greencore key performance indicators in line with critical dates
• Contribute to relevant meetings ensuring details in relation to product recipes and ingredients is accurate and complete of all activity regularly and ensure actions are complete, meeting technical expectations
• Build and maintain customer relationships acting as the dedicated contact to provide accurate and consistent communication internally and externally whilst identifying and resolving issues prompt
• Manage team performance and personal development utilising Grow with Greencore and LMF systems
• Management of internal stakeholders/peers to promote collaborative ways of working and delivery of the new product development agenda
• Leading the team to deliver development that improves our sustainability position through data tracking and reporting

• Ideally, you will be educated to degree level with a specialism in Consumer Science or equivalent knowledge gained through on the job training
• Experience of delivering high quality, sustainable, commercial products
• Demonstrable ability to lead multiple projects and prioritise own and others focus accordingly
• Good understanding and experience of food manufacturing principals demonstrated through feasibility of proposals
• An experienced leader with proficient leadership qualities
• Demonstratable customer service values and is well respected by customers as a food authority
