We are looking for a Energy & Carbon Optimisation Executive to join our successful Optimisation team. This role is homebased with some travel to our offices.
 

Role and Responsibilities

Role

The successful applicant will support clients on their Net Zero journey, helping them to define and achieve their goals. Working closely with customers to understand their unique business challenges, the Optimisation Executive will support identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate price volatility and reduce carbon emissions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Working with medium to large industrial and commercial companies, helping them to understand their energy and Net Zero aspirations and tailoring solutions to achieve their goals.
  • Become a project lead on a dedicated portfolio of clients, managing the delivery of inhouse and partner delivered optimisation services.
  • Develop technical knowledge and the capability to deliver energy & carbon optimisation solutions and compliance schemes eg. ESOS, SECR and CCL exemptions.
  • Deliver client reports, ensuring clients KPIs are achieved.
  • Develop customer relationships, scheduling the delivery of services and managing communications as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a technical support between our business and customers.
  • Develop the capability to identify opportunities for customers to reduce their carbon footprint and mitigate price volatility.
  • Read and company with the Company Health & Safety Policy; taking responsible care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Essential

Energy consultancy experience

Broad knowledge of energy optimisation techniques & UK compliance schemes

A full clean UK driving license

Desirable

Experience in account management

2+ years UK Utility & Carbon industry knowledge and experience

Experience in solution sales

Required Skills

The successful candidates will possess the following attributes:

Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise activities

Ability to analyse energy reports and develop recommendations

Knowledge and understanding of using carbon conversion factors on a variety of fuel sources.

Ability to support and lead product development opportunities

Willingness to develop their skills through personal development with the aim of progressing to the position of Optimisation Manager

Additional:

The successful candidates must be willing to travel with occasional overnight stays.
