We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Shift Production Manager for our client based in Normanton WF6.

Working within High Care department who will report to the Operations Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager who is passionate about their work and willing to lead, drive and deliver continuous improvement within a team who are really looking to improve their processes and drive improvement. We are looking for a Shift Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on and challenging role; who sets high standards and takes pride in a job well done.
This is a hands-on role, based within the factory and is not suitable for those who prefer to manage from behind a desk.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Providing professional management in order to meet the department targets under Health & Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Manufacturing Performance and Cost.
• Directing, managing and motivating your team
• Ensuring the smooth running of the department
• Driving performance
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Identifying opportunities for improvement or innovation; to develop, recommend and where appropriate implement action plans to maximise the potential benefits of such opportunities


The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven effective management of large teams (c300) within a fast–paced food manufacturing/processing or other FMCG environment.
• Motivational leadership; creating a supportive and challenging working environment; that develops a driven and high-achieving team
• Good knowledge of food related standards such as BRC and HACCP
• Strong management skills with an excellent background in improving efficiencies
• Leading by example, motivate and encourage good team working; identifying training and monitoring performance
• An effective people manager; you will be a strong leader and role model, exemplifying a best practice approach across all areas of production management who can develop the same in others
• As a driven self motivated individual you will be able to demonstrate not only your ability to take the lead and make effective decisions but also be able to be innovative and resilient.
• Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, change management, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
With proven management experience candidates will also require the following qualities:
• The ability to positively influence your team is fundamental; requiring you to display both excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
