As one of two stock controllers, you will be responsible for managing and controlling stock (Finish Goods), for a leading food and beverages high street retailer. The role will involve monitoring and maintaining target inventory levels, ensuring stock availability for customer demand.

This will include:

  • Ensuring target inventory levels and stock availability are maintained, through demand interpretation and purchase order processing
  • Keep updated inventory records by; overseeing daily inbound and stock put-away, performing physical counts of inventory and coordinating regular inventory audits
  • Controlling stock levels to reduce waste
  • Collate, analyse and present reports to the commercial team to ensure stock at risk is highlighted and managed through to the customer
  • Publish plans to all relevant internal/external stakeholders to ensure that supply constraints are known and managed in advance and that all stakeholders are agreed on the planned actions and the results required
  • Liaising with technical teams, regarding any quality issues with stock
  • Liaising with warehousing/transport colleagues to ensure stock is taken to pick points and then stock is put away in correct date rotation
  • Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others
  • Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve systems and processes

  • To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with suppliers, external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Experience in warehouse / stock administration is essential.
  • Good literacy and numerical skills, attention to detail is key
  • Good problem solving skills and intermediate level of MS excel capability is not essential, but preferred
  • Ability to learn new systems
  • Awareness of end-to-end supply chain activities
