We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Health Business Partner for our DTS function to lead on the delivery of the service that promotes the health and wellbeing of all colleagues within the workplace.

As an Occupational Health Business Partner you will:

  • Lead and manage the effective and consistent implementation of all relevant Occupational Health standards to support the overall Wellbeing agenda.
  • Drive performance of OH contracts throughout DTS, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are complied with regular reviews with supplier(s).
  • Ensure all tendering and retendering processes are complete within set timescales.
  • Conduct new starter screening for all colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.
  • Ensure health surveillance is undertaken on all colleagues in accordance with the risk assessment legislation
  • Compile and record occupational health statistical data to deliver statutory reporting requirements.
  • Respond to sickness absence referrals and provide guidance to the business with regards to rehabilitation programmes, work adaptation or redeployment so that appropriate action can be taken.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of all confidential medical records in accordance with the business and NMC guidelines to ensure auditable information is in place.
  • Provide advice on individual health issues and promote health education within the workplace to maximise colleague understanding.

We are looking for someone who is able to travel between our DTS sites. The sites that will be visited the most will be Hatfield, Tamworth, Exeter and Worksop. There is flexibility of working from home 1-2 days a week and you will be able to organise your schedule.

What we’re looking for
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health (essential criteria when recruiting)
  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) successfully revalidated every three years
  • Knowledge of Health Promotion and Health and Safety at work
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and think clearly in an emergency
  • Confidence to make decisions and use initiative
  • Assertiveness to ensure instructions on Health and Safety are carried out
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Contract Management (New, transition and end of contract)
