Your responsibilities

We are looking for an Account Manager to join us here at thyssenkrupp Materials UK, to be based in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the senior Account Manager – South, you will be managing our Key Account Aerospace Customers by completing sales quotations, customer reporting, ensuring contractual deliverables are met and developing areas for profitable growth.

This is a great opportunity for someone already within B2B or B2C sales, who wants to step up into working with bigger customers, building relationships and learning more about commercials in a manufacturing environment.

Your main duties will be:

  • To recognise and help develop areas of profitable growth for Key Accounts
  • Ensure contract deliverables of the Key Accounts are met, to include but not limited to service, quality, cost, and aftermarket
  • Coordination of activities both internal and external to ensure contract deliverables are met
  • Completion of sales quotations
  • Supporting the creation of strategic proposals and bids
  • Ownership of  Key Accounts material demand planning process, focusing on improving customer forecast accuracy and improving material availability
  • Sales order entry and book management within SAP to ensure contract deliverables are met
  • Purchase order requisitions and other documentations/processes to be completed in support of material purchasing
  • Customer reporting and communications to include business reviews (F2F, remote), daily/weekly status updates, KPI reporting and any other reporting required by the Key Account
  • Support Credit Control on cash collection activities

Your profile

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Product sales experience
  • Contract management experience
  • B2B or B2C sales experience
  • Customer service focused
  • Commercial awareness
  • Able to build good relationships with internal and external customers
  • PC literate with a strong working knowledge of Excel (1000 lines data, v look up, pivot tables)
  • Strong attention to details skills

  • Raw materials / metallic’s knowledge
  • Experience of SAP ERP system
