As Engineering Compliance Officer, you will manage and monitor standards, policies, processes, communication, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.

  • Work closely with all members of the management team and others to ensure that responsibilities are effectively and consistently carried out.
  • Assist with a broad range of service functions providing support to the organisation for all activities related to the maintenance of the buildings, business loss prevention/interruption, Health and Safety, security and waste management.
  • Document, update, and keep a comprehensive list of all processes, procedures and specifications required by the engineering team and ensure that all colleagues are advised of changes and updates and that the latest versions are easily accessible at all times
  • Report and discuss all findings with appropriate management obtaining their responses to the findings made. Make recommendations for remedial action and process improvements and agree timescales and action owners.
  • Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Complete regular compliance monitoring engagements in accordance with the annual Inspection planner to ensure that relevant internal policies and processes are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and are adhered to in full
  • Support the Engineering team to engaged with contractors to ensure H & S policies and contractors’ insurance certificates are up to date to remove risk from the business
  • Administer the annual training programme and to provide assistance on any issues to the business as and when required
  • Assist the Compliance Manager with regulatory horizon scanning to ensure relevant regulatory updates are summarised and cascaded to management

  • Computer literate
  • Good verbal communication
  • Experience in Administrative duties.
