The Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced events and marketing professional to join Newcastle College as an Events and Marketing Officer.

Within this role you will lead on a diverse range of cross-college recruitment and retention events, taking responsibility for event operations, logistics and associated marketing support activity. You will take the lead on headline College and NCG events including monthly open events, enrolment, bespoke stakeholder engagement events and the University Centre’s Graduation.

Additionally, you will work on a range of marketing campaigns and initiatives targeted at the College’s core markets of further education, higher education, employers, adults and apprenticeships.

This is a varied and exciting role which cuts across both events and marketing. You will be encouraged and supported to recommend innovations and ideas that contribute to the success of recruitment events and the wider college recruitment targets.

The successful candidate will be based with the Marketing and Education Partnerships Team and will work with colleagues across the college and wider group, whilst being supported by colleagues within marketing, school liaison, digital, PR, and design.

You will have relevant Level 3 qualification and have extensive experience in an events or marketing related role, in a target driven environment. You will also have excellent verbal, organisation and written communication skills.
