Our Property department are looking to recruit a Clerk of Works to work within our New Build Development team.

Based in Nottingham

Salary: £34,373 - £37,568 per annum, plus excellent benefits package

Hours: 37 hours per week

Fixed term contract opportunity for 12 months

We are looking to appoint an experienced Clerk of Works for our New Build Housing Development Team on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months. Reporting to the Head of Development, this is a pivotal role and a fantastic opportunity for you to help shape our organisation, whilst offering enormous variety, scope and responsibility..  

We will look to you to act as the Clients representative on site, ensuring a consistently high standard of quality control and supervision is maintained for each building project, as well as assessing contract implementation in regards to building and health and safety legislation. We will require you to identify technical problems on site and recommend corrective actions and issue directions as necessary and ensure that standards of work and the materials supplied by contractors are as specified in accordance with the contract information.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need:

    • Experience of working on new build housing and ideally refurbishment projects too
    • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners to influence and achieve organisational outcomes.
    • Detailed understanding of legislation and best practice relating to regeneration, planning and construction.
    • Be able to quickly adapt your approach to changing circumstances
    • HNC/HND in construction or equivalent or have proven industry experience.
    • Ability to communicate, develop and maintain strong working relationships with all levels
