 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Travel Product and Commercial Executive to join our Health and Travel Team.

You'll bring good Insurance product knowledge to this role and will be working within the cross functional team to ensure adherence to FCA guidelines as well as delivering product development and enhancements to business plan.

Main Responsibilities
  • Working with the Product & Commercial Manager and wider Product & Commercial Team to manage and develop market-leading insurance products incorporating key regulatory principles, including Consumer Duty.
  • Working within commercial relationships with Suppliers and Conduct Risk to ensure adherence to FCA guidelines
  • You will be responsible for maintaining clear and consistent lines of communication across all stakeholders, working with the Product Lead, ensuring that the needs of the department and suppliers are appropriately represented and information is cascaded in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Travel product, procedures and systems across the business and ensure the knowledge is kept up to date.
  • Involvement in all areas of product and commercial management, including Annual Product Value Assessments & product development where required.
  • Project management, with particular focus on cross-functional team working and Supplier relations - attendance at Supplier meetings where required.
  • Technical and management input into complaints handling, including intervention where necessary to ensure the fair and effective resolution of customer disputes.
  • Management of competitor and industry research and analysis, including the maintaining of price competitiveness consistent with the Saga brand through market comparisons and actuarial liaison
  • Undertake root cause analysis of products to understand key drivers behind customer complaints and deliver innovative solutions
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working within the Travel Insurance Industry
  • Knowledge of general insurance markets, products and practices including regulatory regime and Consumer Duty.
  • Travel insurance product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of product and commercial management principles and procedures.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to manage and deliver cross-functional projects to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
  • Commercially aware and able to develop and implement product initiatives to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to manage delivery and analyse market research.
