Risk Assessor

The main purpose of this job is to complete Legionella Risk Assessments & various water hygiene tasks.

Role description

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Risk Assessor & Regional Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking legionella risk assessments, reviews and surveys in line with company procedures and method statements.
  • Ensure all survey forms and work records (manual and electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
  • Completing water hygiene tasks including temperature monitoring, tank & water heater inspections, TMV servicing, etc.
  • Carry out other water hygiene tasks.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure all arrangements for visits with clients are made in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide full support to Service Manager, as and when required.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as required. 

Person specification:

Skills and abilities:

  • Effective communication with good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization, and with 3rd parties.
  • An ability to proactively identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to a resolution.
  • An ability to attain an accurate and consistent standard of service.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and positively as a team member.
  •  Computer literacy, with the ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office package and bespoke software/databases.

Desirable qualifications/experience:

  • City & Guilds accreditation for Risk Assessments.
  • Experience in the water hygiene industry including completing Legionella Risk Assessments.

Essential qualifications/experience:

  • A detailed working knowledge of the HSE’s ACoP L8, HSG274 and HTM-04-01
  • City & Guilds accreditation for Risk Assessment for legionella (or equivalent).
  • An excellent understanding of Water Regulations and hold an appropriate certificate.
  • At least one year experience of undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments
  • Full Driving Licence
