Are you a media expert looking to progress your career within a diverse, topical health focused market? Our Corporate Affairs department are looking to recruit a Press Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Press Officer you will work in a small and passionate team delivering a programme of media relations activity to raise the profile of MPS, and champion members’ interests. You will also provide advice and support to healthcare professionals facing media scrutiny and reputational damage.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Due to MPS’s global membership you will have ample opportunity to work with a range of media in markets including the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Asia.Package Description
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in media relations and processes and, having worked in busy press office environments, will be a adept at working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
A natural self-starter, you engage with colleagues to proactively drive campaigns as well as react to breaking news.
You are able to develop and deliver high impact, integrated media campaigns and strong writing skills in order to produce and edit a range of written material.
A unique part of this role will be providing a support service to MPS members facing reputational damage and, due to this, you will need to be empathetic and member focused.About The Company
